Hello Jürgen,

I am glad Don has participated.
I also hope he has found a way to use another email address for the forum as the forum no longer can accept email addresses generated by hotmail, gmail etc.
Serious problems with spam generated from these kind of addresses have caused this.

This forum will do its utmost to please users and kindly asks users to help us with avoiding spam.

It is great news to hear that more images have arrived for Jurgen's project.

So, now Jurgen confesses he has added a GR to his kit! The 21st Century polaroid, no less. Actually it sounds a great idea. But, Jurgen, what happened to those hands that demanded a "real" camera making you shoot exclusively 6x6!! :)

Well, well, I suppose we all have our weaknesses!! Did you buy the fixed lens (24mm in the 35mm format) version or the zoom? It's a lovely brother for your Hexar!!

But, Jurgen, I thought your new "compact camera" was the Fuji 6x9 rangefinder!! :)

All the same, history has shown the GR's to rank among some of the finest cameras ever made - the superb optics and super tough body! :z04_nic_0075:

Paul, I'm sorry spam is such an issue. But, I think you forgot something, which is: :z02_spam:

Keep the project images coming gents!!

sorry everybody for my extremely long silence :) as i told Jurgen, I will send my proposals to him this Saturday. so guys, please count me in ;)

ps. will upload a little bit later some of my proposal ;)

Cristif from Romania and Gerard from France promised to provide images for the calendar . I am also expecting a positive answer from swissblad , who will shoot some images in the beautiful TICINO (Switzerland)

With that information , I think the project will be successful .
As soon as I have 13 images , I will start printing and also take care for the shipping material .

There still a lot to do , but I am very confident .

Best regards Jürgen

:) I am verry happy & pleased to see that we seem to get enough pictures for this little crazy celendar! An Jürgen, thanks for all your efforts in advance! :z04_2171:

It is good news to see that Jurgen is very close to having the full number of Hasselblad 6x6 images for this wonderful calendar project. However I make this final pitch to help encourage everyone to assist Jurgen to achieve his optimal number of images.

BUT, HE NEEDS MORE IMAGES - ABOUT 3 MORE ONLY - THEN THIS UNIQUE INTERNATIONAL PROJECT WILL BE A 100% SUCCESS.

A TRULY MULTI-CULTURAL PROJECT BASED ON THE CONTRIBUTORS' COMMON PASSION FOR THE WORLD'S BEST MF CAMERA SYSTEM AND THE PHOTOGRAPHIC INDUSTRY'S MOST FAMOUS BRAND - STUNNING HASSELBLAD 6X6 IMAGES.

So if there are any among us who have not pledged an image or are yet to take their image, please please please please........ please post your negative, positive or CFV image to him. He is even happy to make the scans of our film himself if that is more convenient and timely than getting the film to Marc who so kindly offered to do all the scanning for the project.

Jurgen is so committed to this initiative he is right in the middle of the following tasks:
1. selecting the high quality materials necessary to enable 100% safe and perfect postage of the finished calendars - not even Deutsche Post could destroy them!!! :)
2. designing and making the packaging;
3. selecting and testing alternative paper types for a PERFECT top quality finished product;
4. making all the software preparations to help enure perfect colour in the finished calendars.

So, this is a significant undertaking - great images made with great cameras taken through the best lenses on superb film and sensors being printed to absolute perfection on the best paper resulting in a 5 star calendar befitting the standards of perfection Jurgen's tireless efforts and skills will deliver!

SO PLEASE EVERYONE AMONG US, PLEASE CONTRIBUTE AN IMAGE AND REPRESENT YOUR COUNTRY AND CULTURE IN THIS WONDERFUL INITIATIVE!

Cristif from Bucharest in ROMANIA has sent images .
I will scan them this weekend .
Thanks Cristif . I will return your originals as soon as possible .

Hi All,

Things have calmed down here and I have prepared an envelope with negs for Jurgen, which should leave for Germany today.

Regards to all,

Gérard

Jurgen,

I'd love to be in if you still have space.

Franc

Hello Franc

You are still invited as everybody .
Looking at your image from post #51 , the old barn in icecold winter , I would like to encourage you to send that image .
Sofar , I have received only 2 typical winter images and that image of yours would be a very good contribution .

You are so very welcome Jurgen. :)

Just like we hoped, your list is certainly quite multi-cultural, This makes it all the more fascinating calendar. Just as importantly, the sample images we hav been seeing here are wonderful - if they look so good here, I can only image how fantastic the quality will be in top quality print!

Keep them coming guys!! :)

I have just had an idea Jurgen - would it be worth contacting Hasselblad and getting their approval for the Hasselblad copyright logos etc to be used in some way on the calendar - an endorsement? Certainly this great calendar idea and production does not really need it, but it might be a nice add-on to the fact that all images are Hasselblad 6x6 images and this is what has brought us all together and contribute images.

Hello Simon,

The idea about the logos is excellent.
I happen to have a large selection of those logos that were made available to dealers for promotional use.
I am sure the use of these logos is no problem at all.

If Jürgen likes the idea I can send him a selection of those logos to use at his discretion.

I am sure my contribution can reach him beore the closing date.

Paul

I do not like the idea with the logos too much .
But , please have a look to the current title page .
The top line reads : Fourteen HASSELBLAD photographers . . . . .

Of course , the number fourteen depends on how many photographers will participate . But I could imagine to replace the name HASSELBLAD by the original HASSELBLAD fonts in the same size as the writing is . That would require , that I get the fonts , at least for the letters H A S S E L B L A D .

I think , that Christian Poulsen would not be very interested in such a calendar project anyway . Such a project is not representitive enough for HASSELBLAD . Christian Poulsen only thinks in H-SYSTEM dimensions (the V-SYSTEM is dead for production ) and I will not be able to achieve a design and print quality like the VICTORBYHASSELBLAD magazine presents . But this is and never was the aim of the project . My imagination was and still is , to bring photographers , amateurs and profs , from all over the world , together . The www.hasselbladinfo.com community .

Jürgen,

Thanks for a sneak preview of the calendar project.
This looks very good indeed.

You are handling this project so if you do not like a link to the Hasselblad company by using their logos/house style that is up to you.

I would not use their fonts in a sentence but can imagine a display of the name Hasselblad in their own fonts seperately.
Just by coincidence I happen to have a large selection of original material in my collection.
Maybe think of the way we all respect Victor Hasselblad for his accomplishments and the wonderfull cameras he gave us than of the current management at Hasselblad.

I see a display of the Hasselblad name in the house style of the days Victor Hasselblad was in command as a tribute to his contribution to photography.

The material I have will be on its way to you next week so you can decide with original samples at hand if and what you could use for the calendar.

Paul

Hi All,

Things have calmed down here and I have prepared an envelope with negs for Jurgen, which should leave for Germany today.

Regards to all,

Gérard

Gerard

Your images have arrived today and will be scanned as soon as possible .
Thank you .

There are now images from ten different photographers .

Gérard,

Excellent that your negatives made it in time.

The honour of France was at stake so I asked Mr. Sarkozy to take over if
you were unable to participate.
He does not have any idea what Hasselblad is about.
His wife is better informed though.
She was about to buy a Hasselblad camera and step in.
I will have to disappoint her now that your contribution has arrived.

Paul

Paul,

Far be it from me (and it is a long way) to stand in the way of such determination!
If Carla is prepared to supply images for our project, it would be churlish of me to impede her efforts.
Perhaps she'll need someone to press the shutter, or give her a hand in the darkroom?
Any volunteers?

Gérard

Gérard,

I am sure you will give her a hand should she need assistance for this project.

Maybe it will be more difficult to find a suitable subject for the calendar project.
The Elysee is definately out of the question.
I think you will have to spend a few weeks in the country to find a subject that fits th description.

I do not envie you as I have it from well informed sources that Mr. Sarkozy is a very jealous man.
Think again before you begin.....

Paul

Hello dear forum members .

Two more photographers to participate in the Calendar project would be very nice .
Therefore I will prolong the closing date for images to arrive at my place to the 14th of September .

Best regards Jürgen
