Jurgen, I am so impressed by your cables image - I have one like it above my desk in a very rare 2008 calendar with German Junk Yard photos. I'll let the producer know your email address so that he may hire your services!!!!!
I hope to "process" some recent 6x6 images today - stay tuned!
My first attempts at medium format photos, including development. Hassy 503cw + 80mm. These are Delta 100 scanned at snappy snaps Dust and scratches yet to be fully destroyed.
I'm fairly new to the forum and have been reading the forum posts for a while but this is my first post. I recently made my entry into the world of square images and medium format when I became the proud owner of a 503CW and 80mm Planar CFi f/2.8 lens. On the weekend I used it for the first time, hoping to produce at least one decent shot. I think I achieved that - others have commented favourably so I thought I'd post the shot and see what the experts think! The film I used was Kodak Portra 400NC.
A special thanks to my friend SimonPG for his encouragement and valuable advice during this process.
Thanks everyone for your warm welcome and encouraging words. It's a big step to take and a huge learning curve but I reckon I'm up for it! Roll number 2 is going through the camera this weekend so I'll be interested to see what I produce this time. I'll be happy with one keeper!
And Simon, I've bought a roll of Ilford Delta 3200 to specially cater for Melbourne's cruddy weather this weekend!
You even managed to upload the same post (about) twice.
That is something I have not succeeded in yet.
To keep the thread clean I will remove the double post.
Hi Paul,
I previewed the message and then posted it and got a message (that I didn't read properly) but it mentioned that I had posted less than 5 times and something about containing a link, which my message didn't have, unless a smilie counts as a link - may do. So, I checked to see if the first one got through, and then thought I'd mucked something up and tried again, the second one showing up pretty quickly.
These are with a Hasselblad 500C. The photo of the glass bottom is cropped from a larger shot taken on Acros, developed in Diafine, and scanned on an Epson 4490. I took it with a 80mm lens I'm testing. The train station shot was scanned from a print taken with an old chrome 150mm lens.
I am a new member, but an old photographer. I used Hasselblad in the late '60s and early '70s. Here is an image from that period. I still have three lenses and a tricked out 500CM. I love the quality, and miss the elegance and shooting with it, I would like to afford a digital back for it, but that doesn't look affordable these days.
