Does that vintage car belong to you ? ? ?
I know a guy here in my place , who collects vintage Mercedes Cars .
I recently saw him driving an old 300SL cabriolet , open , at minus 8 C .
That freak .

Best regards Jürgen

Jürgen,

Open motoring in winter is a delight.
As long as there is no rain or snow driving an open car is sensational.

The more luxury open cars have a good heater that will overcome those temperatures.
A warm coat and a hat or cap make the outfit complete.

Hi Jurgen,

No, I'm afraid not. It is a good looking car...I like the color. It belongs to the fellow who owns a historic B&B lodging in Anchorage, not far from my favorite coffee shop. I couldn't resist taking some photos of it. The 501CM, the 50 and 80 mm lenses I owned at the time (summer of 2007) created beautiful images of it.

There is no room in my two "car" garage for any cars, modern or classic. It is filled with 8 motorcycles and many more bicycles....so my car and more importantly, my wife's car sit outside in the cold Alaska winter. Needless to say, I make sure to start, warm-up and clear the snow and ice off my wife's car every morning. Gotta keep the missus happy. :)

Easy to get distracted on other (but related) issues...but getting back to the images, here's one taken with my 503CWD-II, which I may have posted here before...but if so, I've forgotten.

Reunited!

Since digital came along and I started using Canon gear the 500 CM and all the lenses sat around in the bag. Then I decided to get the 503 CWD with the 40 FE lens and CFVII back and its like reuniting with a very old friend. Here's a nice example, I think, of the quality of the system, esp. the lenses. Shot with natural light thru the window with the 150 CFT lens. Jazzed things up a little in PS with motion blur and a nice frame to add to the elegance.

Cold day in Chicago!

Took the system out for a workout today. Although only 13 F today, it was very sunny. Shooting is becoming fun again!

Nice shooting Osroubek.

Along the lines of your blue and white theme, I've posted a couple of recent lighthouse images.

Each shot was taken with a 501CM and CFE 80mm Planar. I think the film was Provia 400 (4 years our of date!!).

By the way, on the wide angle shot, you will see on the horizon to the left, 2 small white dots - these are coal ships waiting off the NSW coast to enter Newcastle harbour. On the trannie I can see the ships with a 10x loupe!! God loves film!

Hasselblad V series Images

Hi All,

I live in the Netherlands. I take my pictures with a 203 FE and one of my favourite lens is the Distagon CFE 40 IF and the FE zoom 60 – 120. My favourite film is the Fuji Velvia 50.

Do you want to see more of my pictures, mostly landscapes in Europe visit my website www.vierkantismooi.nl

The selective focussing is mainly do to the extension tube. I think the lens was stopped down to 11.

I haven't taken many photos lately....but I did scan a few more of my 501CM film negs last weekend.

Here's one.....my Cairn terrier, Bonnie. 2 years old. She's a real sweetheart.

Even i got a digital medium format not so long time ago but i feel i should try a film MF, your shot is stunning and i like it, not sure with a digital MF if we can get same colors.

Thanks.

If the images from the CFV back are anything to go by, I think there should be no problems capturing the colours in MF digital. Every CFV image I have seen here makes it impossible for me to determine if the capture was film or digital!

My shot was taken after sunrise on a bloody cold morning! The light was actually pink, so Provia captured it very well.
