Optimal diffuser soft box for D40

Gentlemen, FYI at Knox's suggestion, I have been in touch with Quantum to check on the compatability of Quatum items with the D40 head.

Macr is aready using the silver and gold open reflectors. BUT, they confirmed that the replacement parabolic Quantum reflector's dimensions mean it will fit the D40 - same base diameter of 4,7/16 inch. So for not much money you can add that and then use the Quantum diffusers to it.

Unfortunately the Quantum (like Marc found) diffusers are a few 16ths of an inch oversize to directly fit the D40 parabolic reflector as Marc found - need the Quantum reflector in place.

So I plan to oder the Quantum parabolic reflector, diffuser, and the silver and gold open reflectors - a mini-Quantum flash coming up. Then one day I may have the bucks to get a Quantum unit - the best in the game I think!
 
Hello everyone, After much efforts, I still cannot find the quantum soft box for the D40 in Paris, France. Any suggestion? Xavier

have a look at Robert White's ( robert white photographic) website in the UK. They are very efficient and I am sure will get you what you need. They do plenty of exporting.
