Hi Gary,
Image quality is limited but that is often exactly what is needed.
Paul
Arrrgggghhhhh !!!!
Image quality is limited - where's the razor ??
I've never wanted image quality to be limited, especially on a $5,000 lens. Perhaps we understand different things with that statement, Paul.
Everything I've read on this lens tell me it's the best lens in the V system - "limited quality...... O..."
Now my uses are typically head and shoulders portrait to part landscape (i.e. not the whole of the Wild West in one frame).
Occasional close-ups with extension rings, but not as a habit.
I like wide open to isolate and emphasise, but I like a very sharp plane as well.
I bought the f2 for a brighter screen and easier focussing, more pronounced bokeh ..... and excellent (not limited} overall performance.
I have an excellent 60-120 zoom as well, but it's a 100% tripod lens.
Am hoping that the FE-110, 80mm CFE, 50mm CF and an SWC with film backs and a CFV back would be a good all around short kit.
Gary
ps move this if you want, Paul.
