I am in the market to purchase a flash for my H3D-39.
I am mostly going to be doing outdoor family portraits in the mountains.
I know of Metz, and Quantum,
Looking for some suggestions.
Thanks
Steven
Well. For years I used to works with "Hasselblad-V" flash and Metz (+ few regula-variant one). I've to say that ttl flash with digital is not as good as excepted (perhaps the filter made of glass involve amazing effect to the cell).
To me a modern flash should have manual mode (with partial power mode), auto mode and… auto slave included.
See here. http://strobist.blogspot.com/2010/08/test-drive-yongnuo-yn-560.html I found the old Nikon Sb-26 (no I have no Nikon body !) particularly good as it has a D-slave: it fire after the key flash has finished so it can be used to add light to the key flash cell for example.
For a Hasselblad H with flash included, the D-mode will allow you to light the back ground without modifying the front lighting
