First results from new Ektar film

Steve

"FUC" stands for F (cameras , 1600F , 1000F) and UC stands for user club .
It is not an official part of this forum , but a virtual club , for those who love and still use these vintage HASSELBLADs . It is free of charge and anyone , who loves and still works with these "old" beauties , which are 1600F , 1000F , SWA and SW is welcome .

Jürgen

The FUC actively helps owners and users of these older cameras to keep them in good condition.
Anything goes. From complete rebuilts to near mint condition to service jobs that will restore all functions of lenses bodies and film backs.

Ownership of any pre 1957 Hasselblad is all it takes to become a member.

Rebuild 1000F with 60 mm Distagon.jpg

Picture shows a fully rebuilt 1000F camera with 60 mm Distagon lens.
All users of these older cameras know the special feeling it gives to use
cameras from the early days of Hasselblad AB.

Please note many lens designs have not changed since their introduction with these cameras.
Hasselblad started using Kodak lenses but changed to Carl Zeiss glass in 1953.
The switch to Zeiss was made because Carl Zeiss lenses were cheaper......
Those were the days!

So if I sign up to join the FUC, I will get an 1600F or a 1000F or a SWC or a SW?
*******
There is an EX+ 1000F body listed at KEH for $115 USD...it is inoperative but looks like it needs a home.

Steve

Why bother with the problem cameras from KEH?

When you join the FUC you will get a 1600F and a 1000F and a SWA and a SW.

Ask Jürgen, what he thinks of the FUC service.
That is how he got his latest toy, the Swedish SWA camera.

Good. I will start with all of the above.

Plus I am looking for a 35mm film back for my 503 CX and 903 SWC.

Steve

Suddenly strange words appear like 503CX and 903 SWC.
What are they, cars?
These items do not exist within the FUC.
Are you quite sure you do not confuse the FUC with Top Gear?

Steve,

That is quite a large undertaking, the complete Hasselblad gear.
I wonder if there is anybody who actually owns every bit of equipment ever made by those Swedes.

I can easily name twenty items that I do not have in my collection not even counting all the NASA gear
Hasselblad built in over 30 years for NASA.

Paul

I am not confusing Top Gear.
I want to have the complete Hasselblad family.

Steve

If you want to have the complete HASSELBLAD family , then it is time to start saving all your pennies , better dollars , and you should make shure , that you have a whip hand . Patience is here the mother of a good collection .
But I am shure , you will get all help you need by the FUC members .

My little collection

Steve

It took me about six years of patience , nervous waiting and scanning internet offers to get all the items , I have today .
BUT , without the enormous help of friends and forum members , I would not have reached the todays collection , I can be so proud of .

Jürgen

Jurgen,
The family portrait shows how patience and persistence pay off!! :) What a beautiful sight and one to be very proud of.

The SWA looks magnificent - a glorious piece of industrial design. Now we can all see why you pushed so hard to obtain a mint example.

These things deserve good homes and you've certainly provided that. I'll look forward to seeing SWA images very soon!

Congratulations. :z04_5769:

The SWA and digital capture.
Who would have thought such a thing would be possible over 50 years after the last of these early Super Wides was produced.

Jürgen will set the SWA to work with his CFV digital back.
Compatibility? You got it!
