Aussie Outback in B&W

I hope I'm not repeating myself here, but the image was shot when I managed to get away the past year on 1 occasion into the outback of New South Wales.

Here is a church in the opal town of Lightning Ridge.

That removes the frame around your images and also allows you to position the images the way you want them.

I removed this frame in the last post.

What conversion prices do you use - I'm very impressed by the "digital" B&W - which does not look digital at all.

this type of shot is great cos it shows of the greyscale of black n white film really well....Acros is also the 100ASA film i most like though I use XTol.....

Before I bought my Hasselblad 503 CW I used a Mamiya C3 which gave me the push to get a Hassy.

This is one of the images I took a couple of years ago that made me want a better 6x6 camera.

The shoreline I found this formation on is full of these little holes and the stones are also full of holes too - there is the remains of an extinct volcano nearby so I don't know whether the rock is porous because of that?

Mamiya C3...cool....I have a Rollei T myself which is what id take if i were to spend a week in the middle of nowhere cos its so light and compact and completely mechanical of course.....cant beat a TLR for that....

Great to see continuing posts of beautiful B&W images.

Having been "out of action", which kept me away from the forum for some time and more than I like, I was interested to see other fans of Acros 100.

It is my favourite B&W film overall - it produces superb tonality and terrific sharpness.

This is very small file of a "street" shot I took (which I hope I've not posted before!) in our major public place in the central business district of Melbourne. The film was another I like a lot - Ilford's XP2 Super - exposed at 250 ISO.

If I recall correctly I shot this with the 503CW and the CFE 80mm lens, probably wide open. It was something of a grab at the time, for reasons that are probably obvious.

Acros is fantastic.....have used it loads....have used it with T-Max developer, Perceptol and Xtol.....the latter being the developer Ive settled down with due to its low cost, low toxicity and easy mixing etc....I use it 'seasoned'

For the 100 asa film its Acros but for 400asa film I have another contender to my Tri-X 400: T-Max 400....please have a look at this....I posted on another thread so forgive me repeating things:

here are some more from the study I'm doing of these Barbary Macaques in my spare time. The images are taken with T-Max 400 and purposely in flat ambient light in order to establish a theme throughout. I want to bring out delicate greyscale toning...metering to purposely blow out the sky etc to white. All images 100% not retouched.
