I'm appreciating my old Black C Non-T* 40mm F4, as I use it more and more. I'm still looking for that Orange Filter for it, I may bite the proverbial bullet, and buy the one that Igor has for $165. You seldom them for sale, I am finding. KEH will get one eventually, but who knows when?

Bad news
The maximum WA for the 1000F is a 60 mm, not giving those impressive images.
More bad news: It may take ayear or more to find one and they do not come cheap.
Better find yourself a nice 500CM with a clean C 40 lens.
Still quite a lot of money but then you have a start with true wide angles.

Well I can still go into a church and take pictures with a "normal" lens, as opposed to a Wide-Angle lens, can't I?
I wouldn't be seeking to emulate these images, or try the same techniques - it would simply be to use the interior of a church as a point of study

Of course you can use the 1000F with a standard lens to take pictures of this church or any other for that matter.
Part of the charm of Wilko's images is the point of view together with the WA perspective distortion.
PD is not to be confused with non linear distortion.
That is very low with the 40mm CF(E) .

I happen to have this rather rare 60 mm Distagon lens.
It took me two years and the help of the FUC members to find my Distagon.
This is probably my most lucky buy.
I offered exactly the same amount up to the last 33 cents as the later bidder to get mine.
My bid was 6 seconds earlier and therefore the winning bid.
Depending on condition I would say between 300 and 400 euro of course provided you are able to find one.
At least two FUC members are even more lucky then I am.
They have all lenses ever produced for the early Hasselblads.
The one missing in my collection is the Carl Zeiss 250F4 lens.

The lens of choice if one wanted to have more wide angle for the Hasselblad 1000 F was the Kaligar H.C. 3,5/52 mm lens. From what I have googled it was the first retrofocus lens for medium format. It is not very abundant on the market nowadays either, at least with Hasselblad adapter. It is a very small lens and well made mechanically. Mine handles very smoothly.

Here's two I shot this past weekend.
501CM, 40CF/FLE w/93 pol using a PME51 for metering @ ISO 100. Original CFV.
The detail in these images on a 24" x 24" print @ 360 ppi is quite impressive, although I do believe I am approaching the limitations of the 16 mpix back at this size for fine detail in landscape images. For example, the background hillside of the first image lacks finer detail if you do any close pixel peeping on the print. I would imagine that the 39 mpix back improves image quality immensely in this area. However, I do have quite a few images, especially studio shots, that seem to know no limitation on enlargement.
