Who repairs Hasselblad Flexbody?

Hey Everyone,

My Hasselblad Flexbody stopped working today... Cable release will not close or trip shutter. It smoothly goes in and out with zero resistance. I've looked around on the net and still don't know who to trust to repair the camera in the USA. Any thoughts?

We have tones of cacti blooming in the yard. I shot with the flexbody yesterday and it worked perfectly, today nothing. Sad face...

is your pin still in?

Mine stopped shooting as well so I moved to the electronic shutter on my CFV back.

Sorry for being dense, what is the "pin"?

I tried my other lenses, no luck. I put the same lens on my 501c/m and it worked as it should. The cable release does nothing, subsequently I can't close the lens or trip it. I don't have a digital back, I don't even have a digital camera anymore. Hasselblad no longer makes any parts for 500 cameras and no longer support them. They gave me a list of repair shops that might work on it, so far everyone says they don't work on the Flexbody as there are no parts available. Still waiting for two more replies. The shop I used to use (he retired) would make parts as needed. I'd like to find a shop like that...

there should be a pin in the opening where your cable release attaches. When you cock the flex body without a cable release attached, that pin can be ejected (and then lost)

Humm... I don't see anything like this, maybe I've lost it! Can this make the cable release not function? This seems like a possibility, thank you for this information!

What does this pin look like? Can one make something that will work?

I will ask my local shop
I checked with my local shop and he recommended to sacrifice an old release cable by using the pin which pushes out of the release cable. Start with the whole pin and then cut it down to size. Hope this helps!

Hope this works for you Deon.

Is this the first failure you've ever had with the Flexbody ?

Thank you for your fantastic help. I found the camera is not broken. Only the pin fell out, I can trip the camera with a pointed object. Unfortunately I put a too small of a piece and now it’s jammed. I see the problem and think I can fix it myself. Thanks for your help.

Maybe cock the lens again without anything attached to the release opening and if you are lucky what is inside will get ejected
