Which version of waistlevel finders

Which is considered the better one?
The old or the new??

Just wondering.

The newer style waist level finder has one big advantage over the older style, in that the lens is user replaceable with diopter lenses.

The new one offers a better view of the screen too. The old one tapered towards the top, so you couldn't see the entire screen, top to bottom, unless your eye was rather close to it.

In my opinion it's the new one ! Because it's easier to close !
