Hi everyone...

I wanted to get some opinions about the setup I just bought (about a month ago)... in particular, did I get a good deal? I came into this anxious to get equipped for an upcoming trip photographing artwork in Russia and thought I stumbled across a bargain... I love the camera and don't have buyer's remorse at all, I just haven't seen any similar cameras for sale since and so I don't know how good of a deal I got...

So here it is:

H3D 22MP with 80mm f/2.8 lens, extra battery grip, Hasselblad camera bag, all covers, etc, all in mint condition with very low actuations... $5500 shipped. The H3D is an H1D upgrade, but both body and digital back are marked H3D.

Was this a good deal? What could such a setup generally be had for?

I think it is a good deal.
It is not easy to compare with other offers because there are not that many similar offers.

Keep this in mind:

If the set does what you expect of it and is reliable and without giving problems it is worth every nickel, cent, dime or penny you paid.

Maybe I should add that I also picked up the HM 16-32 film back (mint) for $140 (which I know is a phenomenal deal!), bringing the total camera investment to $5640, for the H3D body, H3D 22MP digital back and the HM 16-32 film back.

I would still be interested if there are others who know what such a system is really worth, just in case I decide to sell it at some point (which I can only envision being for purposes of upgrade).

If you are thinking of an upgrade I am sure Hasselblad will make you an offer you can't resist.
It will be hard to get a better deal by selling the equipment you have yourself.

Why not ask a representative what he could do for you if you decide to buy an H4D40 or an H4D50?
Sales are slow at the moment he will be glad to talk to you.
If you decide to take the plunge consider the 100 mm Planar lens as a successor for the 80 Planar.
