Wilko, would "Alles nur vom Feinsten.. " translated into Aussie be: "Obsessive compulsive maniac!!" :) :) :)

Hm, the good thing is I can load a strip of film and then remotely control the Mac Mini that drives the scanner from my Macbook while seated on the balcony. 20+ centigrade here!

Merlot wine from Cuba?
I think I will pass..................:z04_975: :z04_975: :z04_975:

Actually, I do not think any wine grapes are grown on Cuba. At least not that I have seen. Sugar cane (skillfully being converted into rum) and tobacco. But grapes I have not seen.

Touche Jurgen! :)

Wilko, I'm amazed with the huge increase in Merlot sales in Aus in the past few years. We were typically big Shiraz drinkers and now Merlot rivals that. Previously Merlot was more often used in blends such as Cabernet Merlot to help soften some of our "big" reds a little.

Merlot is considered one of the better wines in France.
That is reflected in the price: Saint Emilion Grand Cru of a decent year is 100+ euro
I thought it was for a box of six but apparently it is for one bottle only :z04_975:

Yes Paul, we used to enjoy the Saint Emilion Grand Cru a lot here in the 80s and 90s - regrettably it became too expensive here since then. But no matter now that my pancreas has decided to seek an early grave - they don't like alcohol of any type - no respect for French grapes! :)
