Storing CFV back

Do users remove the CFV back and detach the battery between location shooting days and store it in the custom pouch, or leave it attached to the camera ??

I've been leaving mine attached and in my back-pack until needed. Maybe I should change my practice.

Is there a good reason to do either ?

I always leave the CFV attached to the camera I last used with the CFV back .
That reduces the "danger" of damage and dust settling down on the sensor glas .
But I always take the batteries off . The one , I last used , needs charging anyway .
