Screen Image Loss with 250mm on 500C/M

I'm not sure I've ever seen a screen shot of the image loss experienced when using long telephoto lenses on the 500C/M camera. As I own the 250mm, I decided to upload an image of the focusing screen with the 250mm Sonnar mounted. This occurs only with lenses 250mm and longer and only on the "500" cameras -not the 501 or 503 which use the newer "Gliding Mirror System." Just posting for informational purposes should anyone be considering this camera body/lens combination. Personally, I find that I can live with this issue. I've not yet encountered a situation in which I really needed that part of my composition to be clear in the finder. Anyways, here's the image:

Vignetting occurs with longer lenses and certain macro applications with cameras that do not have the later Gliding Mirror System.
First camera to receive the improved mirror was the 2000FC in 1976.
The 500ELX was the first model from the 500 series with GMS.

Please note the 501C still has the smaller mirror.

Correction:
The 503 CW has the"Gliding Mirror System"; the 503 CX does not have the "Gliding Mirror System". I have the 503 CX and use the 150mm and 250mm without the vignetting bothering me. It is only in the view finder and not on the film.

Interestingly enough, I have not had this problem on my 903. Any ideas why?
