Pushing Provia 400X

Mc,
My regular shooting buddy is a big fan of Provia 400X. While I cannot show examples, he recently shot it at 800 and 1600 asa with his Mamiya 7 II.
He was delighted with the 800 result - saw no adverse impact on the film's grain. He was also happy with the 2 stop push and felt the added grain was natural.
His view was that 400x is the best "wide latitude" film he had used.
