Light Lens Lab today announced a June release of their new 50mm/f1.5 lens in Leica M mount. They claim full 43x33mm coverage and publish some pictures taken on an X2D to "prove" this but of course you have no idea if these have been cropped or not, to disguise vignetting - details on LLL's website. I might consider getting one of these lenses as I have a TT Artisans Leica M to XCD adapter. I am however, a tad dubious about their no vignetting claim, given the somewhat restricted throat size. Certainly my Leica 50/0.95 Noctilux vignettes on the foregoing adapter. I also know how using the accessory diaphragm on the Contax 645 to XCD Fotodiox adapter, produces significant vignetting at anything smaller than f8. Hopefully someone will publish a review of the medium format performance of this lens to either confirm that it is a satisfactory lens on the X2D or otherwise. The only European outlet is Kamerastore, which I think is an online only operation, not one you can go into to get a demo of a Light Lens Lab lens.
