New Hasselblad body

Hey all,

I want to know, where i can get "New" body of Hasselblad either 500cm or 503 series? I don't want to buy "Used" at all whatever excellent condition it is, just i always go with " brand New" item, so if you know where it will be great, otherwise i may go with Mamiya RZ or RB as i found them New.

Hasselblad supplies the 503CW camera brand new at 2400 euro incl. salestax at 15%.

The 500 C/M was last supplied in 1994.

The selection of lenses is getting smaller but 40, 50, 60 mm Distagons, 80 and 100 mm Planars and 150 mm Sonnar are still available new.

Here is the current price list:

For dealers go to www.hasselblad.se and look who is handling Hasselblad in your area.

And what is the difference between 500cm and 503CW?

The 503CW has an advanced gliding mirror system and you will not see any vignetting on the screen , when using longer focal length lenses .

The 503CW has a TTL flash metering ability .

The 503CW can adapt the CW electric winder .

The 500C/M has none of the above mentioned features .

The 500C/M is and will be for some time the cornerstone of the 500 system simply because over 100.000 of those bodies were sold during 25 years of production.

That camera is still a good and reliable companion for many photographers all over the world.

The 503CW uses improved technology for the mirror mechanism and also has options not found with the 500C7M

If winder and TTL flash are not important to you the 501CM is am excellent alternative.
It is basically the same body as the 503CW without TTL flash and the winder.

IMO, If you want a new "V" series Hasselblad, get the 503CWD package. It's a great "deal"..the whole package cost $2,000 more than I paid for the CFV back alone and the pkg. has the 40mm lens, which costs $5,900 as a separate item.
