Matching insert and film back

How can I check if the film-insert and film-back (A12) on my Hasselblad 500CM are matching? I recently purchased a used 500CM which came with two A12 magazines. This is not an issue at the moment but I have read somewhere that the serial numbers on the film back and the insert should be matching- however, I could not find the serial number on the insert anywhere! Many thanks.

The last 3 digits (if I remember that right) of the back should be on the insert. Its on the black 'bit' between the 2 film spools.

Thanks Wilko, I found that my inserts were swapped among the two magazines I have. I have already shot through about a dozen rolls without noticing this. I should have checked this earlier.
