Looking For Sample 39mp RAW

I bought an old Hasselblad SWC a few months ago, and was disappointed to see the pictures taken with the CFV back with the described color cast. If there is an easy solution to remove it in Phocus, I would be very happy to find out how to.

To remove the color cast you need to take TWO pictures each scene: the normally one and one with a white diffusor glas in front of the lens. In pocus you have to select the white diffusor image in the "white balance" tool or in phocus 2 in the "scene correction" tool. please read the "help" in phocus for further information. this corrects the color cast.

U need to have each scene or you can prepare for each "aperture" and "shift/tilt" movements a white diffusor image to correct.

Color cast is a shift from the original color due to pixels receiving the image under an angle.
See post nine, picture of the shore line.

This problem is more present when a Super Wide camera is used.
These cameras do not have a mirror to keep the rear element from the lens close to the film or digital sensor.
This means pixels near the outside of the sensor are hit under an angle.
With larger sensors this problem becomes more serious.

The mirror in reality does not matter, it is the fact that the distance between the rear element of the lens and the sensor/film is too small. Biogons are true wide angle designs where the distance between rear element and film/sensor is too small to allow for a SLR mirror.

Reverse telephoto wide angle designs have a much larger rear element-film/densor distance, which apart from allowing the SLR mirror, also results in the light hitting the sensor much closer to a 90 degr. angle. Film does not care about that, digital sensors do. A lot in fact.

Basically the Biogon is not a good match for a large digital sensor. A smaller sensor like the original CFV is less of a problem (but there you loose the true, beautiful super wide angle the 38mm is all about).

Want proper super wide angle quality on a large digital sensor? Buy a V body with a Distagon 40IF. Or of course an H body ;-)

have you tried getting a white diffuser, and using that to correct the images? If you hold a white diffuser over the lens and make one shot like that, you can reverse out the colour-casts in Photoshop later. You could also make a similar shot with even illumination and use to as a general colour-cast reverser. Some software has built-in support for this, and I would guess that Phocus might. If not, there is also a Photoshop way to do it.
