Hello Everyone,

I'm going to be ordering an X2D2 and XCD35-100 within about the next month or so. It will be a U.S. originated and U.S. delivered order. I have never purchased anything made by Hasselblad before. I am a longtime Fuji user and I presently have a GFX50Sii with the usual lens assortment. Generally happy with Fuji, but I'm looking for the next level upgrade. I've been looking at/researching the X2D and X2D2's for about 3 years and there is no question that I want to go the X2D2 route.

I intend to buy new/sealed/from a Hasselbld authorized Distributor, but I am also leaning heavily in the direction of buying from Hasselblad Online/Direct. This is based upon my belief that Hasselblad Direct will be as good (and hopefully/probably better) as any of their distributors in terms of service and support. I won't go into specific details here, but I have looked at many of the distributors and I'm just not very excited about dropping a $12.5K order in their lap, then having to worry about what their 30 day/12/24/60 month commitment is to my continued satisfaction with the product. One thing I will say is that I won't be buying the Hassy gear through Amazon. I've seen too many instances where buyers of high end products have purchased through Amazon, only to find out that the order was fulfilled by a non-authorized vendor and the manufacturer won't honor the warranty.

So, I'm looking for your recommendations based upon your experience with whomever you bought your Hassy gear from. Doesn't have to even be X2D2/XCD35-100. Who is good ?Who have you been happy with ? Is Hasselblad Direct the best way to go, or are there distributors in the U.S. that do a better job ? If you'd prefer, please DM me if you'd prefer not to post your response publicly.

TIA

If you just want to purchase, Hasselblad is fine….However I recommend Steve Hendrix at Capture Integration in Atlanta GA….Price will be the same, but the big diff is communication and advice after purchase….Capture Integration specializes in medium format and they are great for answering questions and suggesting the right equipment for your needs

Thank You very much ! I will do some research on them. :)

And yes, I'm resigned to the fact that I won't find any discounts from anyone, which is why I'm putting more focus on who I buy it from. And, I DO want to stick with an Authorized re-seller.
