Is there a category or a database within this forum that is easily accessed by all, in search of good competent repairman outside of their country who has the ability to fabricate, modify, and repair both New and Older equipment?
I have several 1000F bodies and lenses that i want to have repaired and David Knappman is the only individual who has spare parts to repair or upgrade the older 1000F - 1600F.
I am located in the US and there is no one that has spare parts nor the correct ability to bring these fine cameras back to factory specs. Close is not good enough and I rather have genuine original parts installed over the Kiev / Salyut parts. The very fact that I need access beside the mail route (too long) and the telephone route ( too expensive and unknown if there is an answering machine or if technician is in that day!) Having an email address to inquired about repairs and spare parts was what I was was searching. I thought I posted a Repair request on this forum several days ago, apparently it never got posted. Don't know why it never went through, so I posted on the Photo.net as I know that I will get a quick answer.
Could we have a separate folder here and location for all members to view a list of repairmen and machinists? I don't think that is much to ask especially for older fine Hasselblad equipment users and collectors.
