Last barrel gone

A couple of years ago I found some empty lens casings for Hasselblad lenses.
This box full of goodies came from CZ.
It concerned new lens barrels without glass.
Most of them arrived in as new condition some were brutally damaged to prevent use as lenses.

Yesterday I sold the last 110FE to a dear friend in the US.
Don will use this FE model to fit the glass from his F lens.
That gives an as new 110 FE lens.
Kits to convert F lenses into FE are NLA since quite a few years.

I wish Don much fun with the upgraded lens.

That's sad! You must continue to seek out dead Hasselblad items to restore others. This is your destiny! Besides I have another 350mm F lens that needs electronics!

I'm with you Terry. It just has to be Paul's destiny to search out more databus barrels for the faithful clients. I still need to convert my 50F, 150F and 250F. It just may be that I will have to sell them and purchase the FE versions instead of trying to convert.
After seeing the barrel pictures that Paul has posted, I am really getting excited and ready to proceed with this project.

Thanks for all these compliments and well meant warm words.
Most of this is pure luck and living a little closer to Zeiss also helped a bit

Up till now all "donors" and complete lens barrels were in good fully working condition.
I found only one with non functioning electronics.
That one will be examined. Not sure it will do any good.

All lenses and bodies belonging to the 200 series have an excellent record for reliability.
The only body known to have occasional problems is the 205TCC.
My 205 TCC never failed. Good chance these problems were related to early models.
They have all been modified by now.

I wish Don lots of good pictures and fun with the new 110 FE lens.

The 110mm Barrel just arrived today and she is a real beauty. I will be taking the pair to Austin next week for the surgery and will report on how things go.

That is good news Don.

I was afraid US customs was starting a Hasselblad collection.
Tracking information simply stopped there.
Better a fault with tracking than with the delivery of the parcel.
