Finally got delivery of the H4D. I have been fortunate to use the local distributors loan body for the past couple of weeks. I cant believe how fantastic the 35-90mm lens is.
Very Special thanks to our local distributor for the ultimate service anyone could expect. Sorry Canon, you lost a shooter because of the faults and lack of backup.

Thanks Team

Not all distributors are this generous with a loan body.
Which one helped you out?

Vic.

sorry should have stated.

New Zealand

They knew I had trouble with my 1D IV in Italy during a shoot three weeks ago, (how they found out I have not been told.) They organised a loan H4 while I was in back in Italy for the remainder of my time there (2 1/2 days). With that alone I was impressed but the IQ of the 'blad just blew me away. That is when I ordered a camera from the Kiwi distributors.

Returned home 13 days ago, received a message on my answering machine to advise they have a loan body with 80mm, 50mm and 50-110mm lenses for me to try. Picked up all equipment necessary and paid a very very small deposit.

Today my new baby arrived...got the call, travelled the 1 hour to their offices and waiting for me was a 35-90mm, 50-110mm (option to swap for another lens), the body and a bloke to spend the best part of the day going thru settings, and programs etc...

Coffee, Lunch and a thank you pack was also provided. (Woollen Dress jacket, Dress Shirt, Pens, Aluminium Business Card Holder and a Vanguard Case) all embroidered / etched with Hasselblad and our company name.

Sure they spent money on me to change from Canon but they have secured Brand Loyalty and the knowledge that given time I am certain to send sales to their local dealers/retail outlets for their products and equipment.

A Big Thank You to the entire team, who made the transition seamless and pain free. Shelling out the money was not easy but the cost will soon be forgotten with the sound backup and warranty available if ever required.

That's great to hear. I didn't get any free stuff! lol, but i'd sure like a Hasselblad shirt. I guess i'll have to move to NZ.

As for the 35-90, i can also concur, it's a fantastic lens and is very comparable to the Canon 24-70 on MF. Quality is outstanding for a zoom.

It looks like Hasselblad, in this instance represented by the distributor in NZ, has finally got back to the famous standard for service the company is known for.

Thank you for letting us know.
