Introduction

I am delighted to have returned to medium format, and the Hasselblad in particular. I have been a professional photographer for over 48 years. I have a small company that covers weddings, events, portraits, property, and commercial photography. Personally, I now only provide commercial, and property photography.

For the first 24 years, I used Hasselblad film cameras, and then from 2001- 2025, I used digital DSLR, and then mirrorless. I am retaining my Nikon gear - 2 Z9 bodies, and lenses from 10mm to 800mm, but since getting the X2Dii, I have not used the Nikon. The colour quality and the Hasselblad files are stunning.

If it would be cheaper....

I know for MF and for Hasselblad, it is already cheap...but still out of my reach...

I’m another Nikon user. I’ve a Z8 and a number of lenses. I confess I take the Nikon everywhere simply because the range of lenses that I have allow it. But now I have the XCD35-100E that will change.

I have read so many good things about the X2DII. With a 55m FFL, this would be a dream combo for me.
