Hasselblad photokina news 2010

I think the CFV50 is good new in terms of digital V. True its not full-frame 6x6 but the resolution is actually bringing V system to the forefron since this will makes the V usable with minimal moire problems. That is actually a large leap forward. It also shows that Hasselblad still regognize the V-system. OK, not whre most of the development will go thats clear but still. That would be cool of course with a wireless back.

quote=blowupster;42344]That's good to see that digital is not dead. Ok it seams that it cost always the same but pass from 39Mpix to 50mpix.
Ok same size (37x48mm) sensor, so not in a hurry to change mine. Will wait the next one, I will not buy new one every year. Funny they use the old 202FA (discontinued 10 years ago) not 503CW to show the CFV-50.
BTW, if you count per pixel, it's not expensive at all.
Funny they develop an app to use ipad with phocus as I did not succeed to read Victor mag on it. Perhaps one day a Wifi digital back to use ipad as second screen without computer.[/quote]

If it was not difficult to build a real 4.5x6 digital back, I should have be done before other sizes.

Manufacturers go for volume products, not for something that I agree would be great to have but what in the end most likely would be a niche product. You are not the center of Hasselblads universe...

It would be really nice if Hasselblad introduced a camera more suited towards advanced amateurs, but I doubt this will happen.
I know what you're saying but interestingly I read some Hasselblad shop interview or something saying the H series is mainly purchased by non-professional landscape shooters....pros rent equipment or have backs to their Hasselblad V's, Mamiyas and what have you....Phase One being the most popular back in editorial pro shooting apparently.....
