Hasselblad CFV-50c stopped powering up

Hi everyone, I've been merrily shooting away with a used CFV-50c digital back on a Hasselblad 500c/m bought from a reputable Japanese eBay store for over a year now. Right from the start there seemed to be a battery connection or power stability issue or whatever, I found myself having to fiddle with the batteries to start up the unit. Alas, no amount of fiddling now will allow me to power on.

Anyone can share their experience and advice?

I'm also looking for a reputable repair shop in Paris, Singapore and Bangkok and would welcome recommendations.

Many thanks!!

This is the CFV-50c I version, not II.

I have done, thanks.

I do have a Firewire 800 connected to an old iMac that still runs an outdated version of Mac OS with an outdated version of Phocus. And yes, it does work that way.

I'm investigating how to use it with the external batteries consistently.

I had similar issues with PCBs in the past. It might be that a solder connection has cracked - this can happen through wear or physical stress, but also simply because of solder rot. If you are familiar with repairing PCBs, you might open it up yourself and test for continuity around the battery contacts and then repair the cracked solder joint. It is very satisfying. But if this is the first time, don't do it. Hand it to someone who has done it before!
