Hasselblad 40mm black without T coating

Was the 40mm only made in black?

I have seen some black lenses with and without the T desigination.

I thought all the black lenses were T coated.

The change from 'chrome' to black and from T to T* coating did not happen simultaneaously.
And not all lenses changed from T to T* at the same time.
As a result there are 'chrome' lenses that do have T* coating, and black lenses that do not.

The 'general rule' that 'chrome' lenses have a single layer coating, black lenses have T* multicoating generally is true. But only as a rule of thumb.

The 40 mm lens was indeed only available in black, in both single coated and T* multi coated versions.

But the B104 filters came in both silver and black...
