The plasticity Simon is talking about is mostly found in fashion images and it does not matter which make of digital back it is . There are backs , where this effect is stronger , but with some backs , this effect is not as strong .
I believe it has also got something to do with the skin tone and the extremely overdriven makeup the models have . The white/pink plastic faces of the models is then intensified . I dislike these wax figure faces and skins .

To underline my above said , and as a wonderful contrary example , please have a look into thread : 60MP FOR YOUR V-SYSTEM , post #21 ,
an image , Marc posted . Isn't that a fantastic portrait ? ? ? A beautiful girl with natural skin , and wonderful colors all around .
Marc , that is a great image , taken with a CFV-II . NOT a plastic face at all .

WOW!

Thanks Jurgen for pointing out Marc's portrait image. It is sensational and illustrates my point as you suggested.

I agree with your other comments about plasticity and the fashion genre.

Marc, I agree with Jurgen - that portrait image is outstanding. The CFV-II did your photography full justice.
