Good Books on the Hasselblad System.

Hi All,

I have been collecting and putting together my Hasselblad system for fifteen years at least, but today, I think I received one of the most important items I have ever purchased. The first edition of THE HASSELBLAD MANUAL by Wildi. Quite alot to pour through, it covers the vintage equipment I own (specifically) and I've already discovered quite a few "tidbits" of information that are quite useful to me.

What other books are recommended by those that peruse here?

I just bought a copy of the Hasselblad System Compendium by Richard Nordin.
But as it is written in -98 there are some things missing.

But still higly recomended!

Here is my "new" book:

I got the fifth edition which is great for the 503 and 903. Maybe I will get a Flexbody one day.

As Wildi's manual changed over the years it is sometimes useful to have different editions at hand. There are other books by Bob Shell, Toni Angermayer, Heinrich Freytag etc. that describe the system from a user's perspective. There is also a book by Udo Afalter who tried to compile a complete overview over the system. But this book is not worth to spend much money on because it is full of errors.

The Hasselblad Way / H Freytag / 1969 Second Edition

An excellent book all about the Hasselblad system of 1969.

Predominantly, the 500C / 500 EL / SWC

413 Pages of pure reading pleasure.

I also have the fifth addition of "The Hasselblad Way". It covers cameras earlier than mine (500C/EL era) but it's a great reference for alot of the earlier accessories and lenses that I do have. So it is good to have books from different eras.
