Hi Ed,

I am in Canada...Let me know if you are still intserested. Thanks

Much as I would love to take it off you hands, I fear that the import duties and VAT would make the item much too expensive for me.

Ed,

I see. Is there anything that can be done? Pls PM if you want to discuss. Thanks

I thought that if the original item was made in the EU then the customs duties would not be a big deal?? I know it is being shipped from Canada but the origin was in Sweden or Germany.

I know it works that way in the US. I bought a camera made in the US but purchased in Germany and there was no duty since it was an American item.

i doubt it, the customs are very hot on imports these days.

Unfortunately not in the UK, we still have to pay VAT (20%) on secondhand items made & bought in the UK. Anything from outside the EU is also liable for customs duties and a documentation fee, the total can add up to quite a lot extra.
