Flashes of mass destruction

Today I picked up a used Metz 60CT4. It came including the "Televorsatz". Which is basically a Fresnel lens to focus the flashlight to a far away object when using telelenses. Another use is with a visibly-opaque IR filter.

Anyway, the whole combo truly is a Flash of Mass Destruction :z02_respekt: when mounted on my 500ELX.. Ah well, I do not plan to ever use it anyway, I will put it up for sale again on the local Dutch internet marketplace.

Looks like war!

THis kind of equipment is best left at home when traveling in countries with military action. :z04_Flucht:

The Matz 60 was a dream 30 years ago, when power was a goal.
The additional battery will not help for traveling, but is usefull for weddings.
The tele stuff help for sport pictures.
I have 4 Metz 45 (2 proflash included) at home I cann use for "strobist" use.
It exist a stuff witch help to carry a releas shutter on the flash that help (a little) to carry and use the monster.
The bare is too long and I modified two. (Polypal's rools for links does not apply in this case as this page will be improved later: new modifications of metz bare, use of D-40 in non TTL, and Hasselblad TTL ring flash ) One is only shorter and a other one is shorter and fixed on a pistol grip.

To prevent misunderstandings:
The idea not to allow linking is not mine but comes from my superior who owns this forum.
Please respect his wishes he is paying for all the fun we have here.:z04_hinterherjagen:

Hello Wilko,
it looks like you still attach the flash bracket via a screw to your Hasselblad. I found this too cumbersome and even dangerous. So I have mounted a Hasselblad tripod quick coupling to all my Metz flash brackets. This works faster and gives a very stiff connection.

Best regards
Ulrik

Yes, for the picture it is just screwed to the Metz bracket. I only have one quick release and that one normally lives on the ballhead of my tripod.

I am not using the whole flash gear much in any case. But at least I now have a full set: 60CT generator and 2 CT4 heads. Plus the necessary SCA stuff to make the TTL/OTF work on my 500ELX.
