Flash synch on CF Lenses

Flash synchronisation is only available at 1/500 sec on my 80CF lens. The flash does not fire on any other shutter speed.

Has any one suffered the same experience, and if so, what was the remedy?

Flash works fine with the same flashgun (Metz 45CL4) and my other two CF lenses using the same camera body.

There are a number of things that can cause this problem, such as a cracked actuating ring or a bent flash contact in the shutter. A qualified Hasselblad technician could take care of this for you.

Thanks for your comments, the lens has since been repaired by a Hasselblad technician. Various parts of the shutter mechanism and the synch socket were replaced.

All back working now.
