Greetings:

I recently had a minor incident with one of my film backs an A12 model. The film rewind gizmo, the little handle broke off. It's not a strong piece so repairing it is probably out of the question. I could probably purchase a used A12 film back for parts only . What should I expect to be paying for back that is for parts only? I am not aware of any site that offers parts and pieces for the 500 series body. Any info or suggestions will be appreciated.
 
I do not know where you are situated but there is always evilbay (ebay) as a sourse for parts or film backs that can be used for spares.
A rough back with some decent usable spares like the handle should be available for 20-30 euro-
That is about 25-37 USD.

The little crank is still available from Hasselblad but take a deep breath before you hear the price.
The other solution is to find a used crank from an independent repair center.
