Engaging half stop increments on Zeiss lens

Hi,

I'm new to medium format having mostly shot 35mm in the past.

I just bought a 500cm with two lenses.

I have a question about the 80mm Zeiss T* f2.8 Compur lens. How do I engage the half step measures on the aperture ring? I've done it multiple times with trial and error, uncoupling the shutter/aperture but I don't know how to get to those half stops logically.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
