Can't release shutter once lens attached

Hi,
I am new to using a hasselblad 500cw camera. The shutter works fine but when I attach the Len the shutter won't release. Both the camera and the Len are cocked and I can remove the lens from the camera and then release the shutter with no problem. I haven't been able to trip the shutter manually on the Len. It is a new Len and I am not sure if the Len is defective or I am just doing something wrong.

Hi Joanner. Have you fully removed the darkslide? just been playing with mine and it won't allow you to fire the shutter unless the slide is fully removed. best I can offer I am afraid.
