Body blocked

Hi,

I don't know how I managed to do that, I was cleaning the mirror, and therefore took the lens off the body.

Now, I can't put my lens back, (the body's slot is horizontal, while the lens' is vertical). Plus no way to fire the camera, and the advance knob is blocked too...

Any help, greatly appreciated. Thanks

Marcos

If the body cam is pointing toward the red dot you are fine. If not, you'll need someone who knows what they're doing to recock the body.

If the lens cam isn't pointing toward the red dot, then you need to use a coin to re-cock the lens. It isn't common to have a lens uncock when removing it, but it does happen.

There are several tools on the market for solving the Hasselblad cocking issue (much safer than using a coin). One is called the Lynn Unjammer which I always keep in my camera case. Here's a link to a similar tool on eBay that will solve your problem: http://cgi.ebay.com/Hasselblad-This-tool-for-all-Hasselblad- owners_W0QQitemZ7580554481QQihZ017QQcategoryZ3351QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1 QQcmdZViewItem

That tool is not safer than coins.
It is intended to do other things to begin with.

It isn't even really safer than a very inexpensive small screwdriver.
Which is all you need.

So safe your money, and do not get one of these tools.

Yep, you can always get your hands on a coin to rewind the lens, which I've used to good effect and no mis-hap for 30 years.

You do need more than a coin to recock the body ... but in 30 years of using a Hasselblad I've never jammed the body ... (knock on wood : -)
