I created these images prior to burning man coming to the Black Rock Desert. Today it doesn't look like this anymore, since so many people traverse the Black Rock the playa is now permanently rutted with tire tracks and trash accumulating wherever the wind blows it... Bummer...

Lens comparison with the Carl Zeiss 100mm f=3.5 CFi, 180mm f=4.0 CFi and the 350mm f=5.6 CF lens. All images created using a Hasselblad Flexbody, tilting the film plane just enough to get everything in focus at f=8.
