40mm lens focus ring removal

Hi list,
Having just purchased a 40mm lens on ebay, it had a focus ring attached, if I remove this as I want to, I'll need to find a new rubber grip as the original has been removed by a previous owner.

Is this something that can be done, and who would be the best to do this in th UK.

The rubber grip focussing rings should be still available from Hasselblad UK, in Wembley.

As you will know, you can clip these on yourself.

Slide on from the rear, make sure the three protrusions on the inside line up with the marks on the lens, and push until it snaps in place. Make sure you push it on straight: the plastic is not too strong and may break.
