We all know the VHPICTURES tell the year. But what about the actual serial number?

I read on Luminous Landscape that - "Since its serial number is about #150, I'm fairly certain that it is among the first lenses shipped outside of Japan".

How does he know?

Or was this something special of the 30mm lens?

Just curious...
