Looks like a proud new Xpan owner is out driving his new toy today. And the pictures look really nice and cold.

I really like #1 with the shadows from the trees fanning out over the ice, and #3 is nice too. The middle one just doesn't do it for me, I can't out my finger on why.

Great photos! My favorite was number 3. Wish I had an xPan too!!

Just one little quibble....I didn't know the "tundra" extended as far south as the Netherlands....even before taking the effects of global warming into account. Twenty years from now the question may be "Tundra? What tundra?".

Gary
Eagle River, Alaska....no tundra here....gotta go much farther to the north

See enclosed map from Wikipedia.

:) Indeed, we typically are into lots of mud, not into snow. This winter is uncharacteristically cold and snowy. In january the coldest day was -15,8 ˚C, in december it was -18.4 ˚C on Deelen airforce base, close to where I live.

So it can get quite chilly in the Netherlands.

By contrast, here in southcentral Alaska, we've been having a very pleasant and mild winter thus far.....only 1 week of sub-zero (F) temps. I guess the weather patterns are all messed up....the middle and eastern parts of the USA have been colder than normal, similar to you folks there in the Netherlands.

Xpan in Dutch Tundra

Hi
Thanks for posting those photos - it's soooo nice to see an Xpan being used.
Those Dutch "pancake flat" :) landscapes are well suited to the Xpan's field of vision.
Thanks for sharing and look: forward to seeing more.

Great shooting Wilko!!

It is wonderful to see such an enthusiastic new XPan user at work with it.

I love the B&W images!
