Waist level viewfinder not closing properly 503cw

I'm a complete hassy newbiew. After some saving I managed to buy a 503cw that seems to be better than new. When I got it home I realized that the viewfinder lid doesn't seem to shut as tightly as older models. I got this impression from youtube videos, I know it's not the best source, but I don't have any other at hands reach.

Sometimes the viewfinders can get some distortion especially in professional use. Usually it can be straightened without new parts.
