... OK so now some of have got Phocus 2 installed, configured and working - what about using it?
A test of Luminous Landscapes indicated that even before Phocus 2, APL and the H4D-60 Hasselblad were ahead of the competition, and the raw processing tools in Phocus 2 (particularly clarity) make it the ideal tool for Landscapes, where you do not have full control of the lighting of every part of the picture.
It seems that you can usually do without HDR, or, for very difficult pictures, you can process two version of the same picture and layer them.
It seems that if you get it wrong, you can make a printable picture of anything.
I have a photo of a siamese cat which is a useful exercise - I cannot attach it in .fff format, but PM me your e-mail address if you would like a copy.
