Tripod hole too big on bottom of 500ELM

Just tried to put my second 500ELM on my tripod. The hole is too big on the bottom of my camera. I looked at my other 500ELM and it has the same size hole, but there is a bushing inside it with a slot. My screwdriver is too small to unscrew it.

What is the size of this bushing that I am going to need to srew into the big hole so my tripod will adapt? Does it have a special name?

You need a 3/8" to 1/4" bushing. The threads are National Coarse. Available at any good hardware store.
