Test for Polypal

Paul - Here are the 3 images that you saw on Flickr. They should look the same, but note how blurry they look here. These are uploaded at the same resolution, from the same file, as the ones on Flickr.

To anyone else viewing these, please bear with me, as all my uploads to this site are coming out blurry, and Paul is kind enough to try to help me figure out the error of my ways.
Michael H. Cothran

PS - For what it's worth, the first two were shot with the 100/3.5 CF, and the last one of the white bridge was shot with the 180/4 CF.

Great images! They really don't look blurry on my monitor, maybe just a tad soft, but not objectionablly so....of course, I don't have the originals to compare them with.

Gary

I have posted these on several other sites as well, all looking as crisp as Flickr, so the fact that Flickr may or may not apply sharpening is not the problem. The problem is the blurriness or "softness" that they display here, unlike any other site. I did not have a problem here with earlier postings. It just began the last month or so.

Hello Michael,

Where would we be without users taking the trouble to report possible problems with the forums software?
Thanks!

I will compare the images with the ones on Flickr and will come back to you as soon as I have an idea what is going on.
Please give me a couple of days because tomorrow I will leave for a short trip to the South of France.
These things are best left to check at my monitor at home.

Paul

Thanks Paul. Please take your time. Just to clarify a little:
The 3 thumbnails above look fine, but they turn more blurry when you click on them to view the image slightly larger. Same as my home monitor. Particularly notice # 1296 (the white bridge), as its blur seems most noticeable.
I tried reposting a few other images that I had posted in the past, and they too exhibited the same phenomenon.
FYI - these were posted @ 720x720 pixels (10"x10") @ 72 PPI.
Thanks.
Michael
