Hi guys, I have a problem with 205 FCC With CFV 39

1. I only enjoy 1 time outdoor photos for 90 shots.

2. Last Sunday my 205FCC+CVF39 totally not work at all.

The problem is:

a. I could not press shutter release button.

b. If shutter speed set to “C” then I could press the shutter
release button then hold it as how long we need, but no image come out
from the CVF39.

c. If shutter speed set to others then “C”, shutter release
button lock it, as well as the winding crank also lock it.

Does it connected with the lens i used, Once i try to connect C Lens but i haven't try to take a shoot cause i don't bring the sync cable...please somebody i do need a solution.

You should tell us more about your 205 .

Is your 205 modified for use with CFV backs ? ? ?

If not , you can only work in C mode , using C type lenses and you need a sync cable . Also , you must set your backs parameter to "sync flash cable" .

You should visit the HASSELBLAD homepage and look up the data sheet of the CFV-39 . There you will find a connectivity diagram for the CFV-39 and the cameras that back can work with and in which modes .

Not only C lenses but any lens with leaf shutter will do.
All CF/CFE/CFi lenses set to operate their leaf shutter can be used with a sync cable to trigger the CFV 39.

Don't you need to change your 205 Battery ?
I have the same behaviour if I use it without battery.

Good point.
I would be even richer if I got 1 euro for everytime a user offered his 2000/200 camera for repair when fitting a new battery was all it takes to bring the camera back to live.

Power consumption of these cameras is quite low but still there.
It is good practise to remove the battery from cameras that are not in regular use.

hi jootlob :

Yes, the 205 already modified...

I have FE Lens, does it have affect if i put those lens to camera, or should i only use the c lens. but the problem as you read on my previous thread only can press when shutter speed on c mode.

Blowupster :

i'm not really sure if the battery can fix the problem. but thanks for the advice.

Thanks Polypal

Typically this occurs when the battery is exhausted or installed in reverse.
Please try a new 6v - PX28L or equivalent.
