Pocket Wizard Plus II and Hasselblad 503 CW

I just received my first medium format camera. I tried to trigger my flash by pocket wizard plus II. I connected the PC cord to the PC terminal of the CFE 80mm lens and the other end to the pocket wizrad plus II. It doesn't work. Seems like the lens won't trigger the Pocket Wizard. What's wrong?
I have no problem firing the flash when connected directly from the lens to the flash by cord.
 
Stupid question but did you try triggering the strobe from the
Pocket Wizard by using its "TEST" button?
Seems that the connector on your lens works, otherwise you wouldn't be
able to trigger the strobe using a cord.
Things to check:
- Pocket Wizard Transmit Mode (i just leave that to "BOTH" to avoid any
confusion)
- Channel
- Connector to use (Camera/Flash vs. Flash)
- and last not least battery in the PW
Anyway, hard to diagnose over the internet, just some thoughts for
your consideration.

.......or something as stupid as having the right channels on, or connecting the cable to the 'flash' or 'camera/flash' connector on top of the PW (Pocket Wizard) by the antenna or the cable is broken as they say or having the PW set to 'both' not 'local' or 'remote'...sometimes also forgetting to connect a cable from the PW to the flash head....I've done all these mistakes.....there are quite a few variables that mean it doesn't work so its a question of elimination.....
..it will be something silly no doubt if the cable isn't broken....i use PWs all the time, on every single shoot and they are a great product....

I plugged the cable in the wrong hole on the PW. I plugged to Flash instead of Camera/Flash.
 
yes, it happens to me often enough....what you have to do is test first.....I take off the A12 magazine and test the connections to the lens and the PW on my 500 C/M and 'C' lens combination
