Well you put the CF card in your reader, the PC ask if you want to import files. The you may mport "fff" files and /or jpg files directly on your hard disk. You choose basic middle or best quality.
I tried it yesterday. It's a very good tools for basic convertion and copy on Hard disk.
To me it's very helpfull. Not as sophisticate as Phocus 2.6 but it helps for usual shots.
As use CFV-39, it's only possible to chose light sources. No lens nor distances. As I use a CFI 100mm lens it's ok, but for other with distortion, perhaps not so good.
I have not discovert how to chage target directories now.
