Phocus firmware problem

I can't seem to update the firmware of my CFV 16 v1 using Phocus. The application sees the camera, and the camera reports "controlled by Phocus", even Live View works, sort of.

The Capture button is greyed out and the Update Firmware menu item is greyed out. I have firmware v245 and am trying to upgrade to v256. My OS is Windows 7, but it happens in XP too. Any ideas anyone?
 
I'll answer my own question, it was because the firewire connection to the back wasn't powered, Hasselblad have obviously disabled firmware upgrades when the back is powered by battery. Sensible.
