"Leicapassion, the web domain registered for more than ten years, the Forum Leicapassion that includes thousands of enthusiasts Leica brand in Italy and the site boasts more than seven million page views only in the first half of 2012, are the subject of an incomprehensible attack by Leica Microsystems, the company that owns all the trademarks of the famous German manufacturer of photographic equipment.
The argument would be a violation of the exclusive rights to be in the name LEICAPASSION, contained the five letters of the name LEICA ...
Even more absurd is that the attack is conducted against a website of excellence in an environment in which, throughout the world, there are hundreds of sites where the brand LEICA is often used inappropriately and so sometimes unseemly if not indecent.
It is a ridiculous and self-serving motivation that has the sole purpose of permanently blinding the domain and put a gag unacceptable to those who, in the past ten years, and only just worked for free to spread the name of LEICA among the Italian fans and photographers only.
The real reasons for this unacceptable attack are to be found in the claims made by Leica Microsystems disposal at no charge domain LEICAPASSION.COM and simultaneous registration of new domain with a different name (required only be qualified as laughable as the name LEICAPASSION is protected by copyright until the year 2009) but, apart from that and the obvious purely commercial purposes that lie behind the request, it is a violation of the right to free expression of thought enshrined in the Italian Constitution which must not and can not affect the web, perhaps only defense was to defend the very rights that this action is attempting with unspeakable arrogance and arrogance to trample on.
